About us

Our commitment is to make space for an earth friendly life, offering comfort and simple luxuries that make it easy to reconnect with nature and a deeper sense of who we are. While Orin and Maria are no longer personally running courses at the farm, the space continues as a venue and a place to craft new ideas and play.

The farm is named after the Balinese kul-kul drum that is an important part of Balinese community. Traditionally, it is used to call the people together for ceremonies and community events as well as emergencies.

In a time when we are so well-connected through technology yet feel so disconnected from each other, ourselves, and nature, The Kul Kul Farm hopes to provide a space where people can remember what is important, stand up for what is right, and—most importantly—come together to build better relationships with one another. We believe this is best experienced in the company of shade and sunshine, the occasional rainstorm, an abundance of trees, and a few feathered friends. The farm offers simple comforts that invite you to learn, relax, and savor the moment—without missing out on the feeling of grass between your toes or a cool breeze on a hot day.

The Kul Kul Farm was started by Maria and Orin Hardy as a space for education, play & experimentation.
